El Camino College scored a pair of wins Saturday afternoon at the San Diego Mesa Tournament to wrap up the weekend 2-2 at the two-day event.
The Warriors defeated Fullerton 15-11 in their first match of the day on Saturday and then edged Grossmont 11-10 to cap off the weekend. The two wins came after the Warriors suffered a 10-9 defeat at the hands of Saddleback to start the weekend followed by a 22-3 loss to Citrus on Friday.
Scoring came from a number of individuals for ECC with Nate Griffith leading the charge with 10 goals in the four matches including a five-goal performance against Fullerton. The victory avenged an earlier loss to the Hornets this season; a 15-12 loss on Sept. 7 at Fullerton.
Nicholas Elias made 36 saves on the weekend, playing all four matches at goalie for the Warriors.
The Warriors will return to action on Wednesday on the road at L.A. Trade Tech for a South Coast Conference matchup.
