TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College suffered a 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-20) loss to visiting Moorpark on Friday night at the ECC Gym Complex.

The Warriors were unable to contain the Raiders' offense as the visitors attacked at a .370 clip for the match, hitting better than .350 in the first two sets and .308 in the final frame.

For the Warriors, Bishop Sneed led the way with nine kills and a .368 attack percentage while also adding four digs and one block. Garrett Gronbach added eight kills with a team-best 10 digs and Owen Loebs hammered down seven kills with just one error.

The opening set was close early but the Raiders rallied off six of the final seven points in the set to take a 1-0 lead.

In the second frame, the Raiders had a blistering attack as they hit .464 in the frame with 14 kills on 28 swings with just one error.

With the score tied 4-4, the Raiders scored three straight points to gain some separation and kept adding to the advantage as the set went on, leading by as much as eight points before taking the set 25-18 for a 2-0 lead.

The Warriors tried one last stand in the third as they used a short burst to turn an 11-10 deficit to a 14-11 lead. But the Raiders answered with three straight points to tie things up. The Warriors would go up 17-15 but a 5-0 scoring run from the Raiders put them up for good, closing out the match with the final three points on a service error and consecutive kills from Knudsen.

The Warriors will return to action on Wednesday, April 2 as they host L.A. Pierce for a 6 p.m. first serve.
