Men’s Tennis Falls to Mt. San Jacinto in First Home Match

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College suffered a 6-3 Inland Empire Athletic Conference defeat to Mt. San Jacinto on Thursday afternoon at the ECC Tennis Courts.

The Warriors dropped their home opener as they lost three matches by walkovers, putting them in a big hole from the start.

Shubham Waldiya and Tarik Hossain each won their singles matches and combined to take one of the doubles matches but it's all the shorthanded Warriors could muster. Waldiya is now 3-1 in singles action at the No. 1 court. The duo of Wadiya and Hossain also improved to 3-1 in doubles action, also on the No. 1 court.

The Warriors will return to action on Tuesday, Feb. 25 with another home contest against San Diego City. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
