Men’s Tennis Opens Season with Win

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College kicked off the 2023 men's tennis season with a victory, downing visiting Fullerton 5-3 on Tuesday afternoon at the ECC Tennis Courts.

The Warriors split the two doubles matches that were played against the Hornets and got a walk-over win in the third match since Fullerton did not field a third doubles team, giving ECC a 2-1 lead heading into the singles portion.

The Warriors lost the No. 1 and No. 2 singles matches but scored easy victories in the No. 3 and No. 4 matches and scored a forfeit win in the No. 5 singles to clinch the match.

The Warriors will return to action on Thursday afternoon when they host Orange Coast at the ECC Tennis Courts at 2 p.m.
