El Camino College had some battles but came up empty in its home opener against visiting Fullerton, 9-0, on Tuesday afternoon.
The Warriors fell in a deep hole early, dropping all three doubles matches. The No. 2 team of Connor Davis and Stephen Whitman battled Fullerton's Rodrigo Onate and Thiago Manzano but would fall 8-6 to help the Hornets complete the doubles sweep.
In singles action, the Warriors forced a couple of deciding tiebreakers but could not pull out a match and fell for the second time this season.
The Warriors will return to action on the road at Orange Coast College. First serve is set for 2 p.m., weather permitting.
