Warriors Dominate Singles, Sweep Doubles for First Win of Season

TORRANCE, Calif. – El Camino College dropped just two singles matches as they swept doubles en route to a 7-2 non-conference victory over Glendale Thursday afternoon at the ECC Tennis Courts.

The Warriors (1-1) scored the win but had to go the distance in two singles matches with Connor Davis and Stephen Whitman all winning their matches in three sets. Meanwhile, Kyle Ou required two wins in tiebreakers to win his match in straight sets.

Leading 4-2 after the singles, the Warriors swept all three doubles matches to record their first victory of the year after dropping the season opener to Orange Coast on Tuesday afternoon.

The Warriors will return to action on Tuesday afternoon with their first road match of the season at Cypress. First serve is set for 2 pm.
