Men’s Tennis Kicks Off Season Against Orange Coast College
TORRANCE, Calif – El Camino men's tennis kicked off their season with a match versus the Orange Coast College Pirates Tuesday afternoon at OCC.
The Warriors lost 0-9 to the Pirates. In singles play, Kyle Ou (0-6, 1-6), Louis Tanada (4-6, 1-6), Scotty Kingham (0-6, 0-6), Daniel Fisher (0-6, 0-6), Jie Ong (3-6, 1-6), and Jake Burt (0-6, 0-6) all lost to their competitors. In doubles, the teams of Ou/Kingham (2-8), Tanada/Gordon (1-8), and Fisher/Ong (5-8) lost as well.
Coach Stephen Van Kanegan commented, "We're struggling with winter session finals today and players who aren't yet eligible for both teams."
Next match is away on Thursday, February 9th at Riverside.
