SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. --- Sophomore Diego Garcia scored twice as El Camino College recorded a 2-0 non-conference road victory against San Bernardino Valley on Friday night at the SBVC Stadium.
Garcia, who scored 10 goals and was the team's third leading scorer as a freshman, finally broke his scoring drought to start the 2024 season as he recorded his fourth career brace to lead ECC to the win.
Garcia opened the scoring in the 24th minute and then added some insurance late in the second half to secure the victory. Robert Baker made four saves to record the win in net.
The Warriors outshot the Wolverines 18-15 and held a 12-4 advantage in shots on target.
The win extended ECC's unbeaten streak this season to eight matches and have now gone 30 straight matches without a loss dating back to last season.
The team will return to action on Tuesday evening as they travel Antelope Valley for a 5 p.m. kickoff.
