TORRANCE, Calif. - Last season, the National Champion El Camino College Warriors men's soccer team lost one game all season against Norco College 3-1.  The Warriors exacted their revenge against the Mustangs one year later with a 3-1 win on Tuesday at home at Warrior Field

The Warriors dominated Norco offensively and outshot them 24-to-14.

After 12 shots the Warriors finally found the breakthrough goal against Norco.  Charlie Cazares had a free kick hit the left post ricochet right back to Alek Palomares who was able to slot it past the keeper to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead.

Continuing a trend the Warriors were good at least season, they scored within the first five minutes of the second half to make it 2-0.  Marvin Gamez played a ball up to Steven Alvarenga inside the Warrior's half of the field.  Alvarenga took the ball half the distance of the field and danced his way past two defenders and shot a ball to the far post to score his fourth goal of the season.

The Warriors made it 3-0 in the 55th minute. Charlie Cazares's corner kick was headed in by Chris Organista

Norco got a late consolation goal in stoppage time to ruin the Warrior's first shutout opportunity to make it a 3-1 game.

The Warriors will take the rest of the week off and play their next game at Cypress College on Tuesday, September 10th. Kick-off is set for 3 pm. The Warriors next home game will be against Palomar next Friday with kick-off set for 4 pm.
