Baltazar Named National Player of the Week

United Soccer Coaches National Players of the Week - Nov. 15

KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- Sophomore Nicholas Baltazar was named the United Soccer Coaches' National Junior College Player of the Week, it was announced Wednesday.

Baltazar logged all 180 minutes in two matches last week to anchor a Warriors defense that helped lead the team to a pair of shutout victories and the first South Coast Conference Tournament championship in program history.

In addition to his steady defensive play, Baltazar dished out an assist on Jovanny Mejia's goal in the SCC Tournament title game against Mount San Antonio, which made it a 2-0 game. The Warriors would go on to win 3-0.
