TORRANCE, Calif. - The El Camino College Warriors men's soccer team finished off a perfect 9-0 home record for the regular season after defeating LA City College 1-0 on Tuesday afternoon at the ECC Soccer Field.
The Warriors (15-1, 7-0 SCC) have won 13 games in a row.
Marvin Gamez provided the heroics after scoring on an overhead kick in the 49th minute for his 16th goal of the season.
The Warriors outshot LA City 25-to-9 for the game. However, the Warriors had just seven shots on goal to the Cubs four.
Donovan Palomares made four saves for the game to record the clean sheet. Palomares had his 10 shutout of the season.
The Warriors will head to Long Beach City College on Friday and wrap up conference play next Tuesday at Pasadena before the Conference Tournament begins next weekend. The Warriors have clinched a first round bye after having the top record in the South Coast Conference South Division.
