TORRANCE, Calif. - The El Camino College Warriors men's soccer team had a dominant display over Compton on Tuesday as they defeated them 8-0 at the Warrior Soccer Field.

The Warriors (13-1, 5-0 SCC) had seven different goalscorers for the game as Franco De Luna, Jovanny Mejia, Marvin Gamez, Emiliano Amaro, Diego Martinez, Orlando Valencia-Jimenez, and Diego Garcia all found the back of the net.  The Warriors outshot Compton 40-to-2 with 11 shots on goal to zero. The Warrior's 40 shots was the second most attempts they've had this season as they shot 42 times against Moorpark earlier this year.

The Warriors opened the scoring in the 16th minute off Franco De Luna's first goal of the game.  On a corner kick, Ty Kerns and Charlie Cazares played a one two ball before crossing it over to De Luna who one timed it into the net.

The Warriors would take a 1-0 into halftime despite outshooting Compton 17-to-1.  The Warriors were able to capitalize on the chances they missed in the first half by pounding in seven goals in the second half.

It took the Warriors just two minutes to score their first goal in the second half.  Off a defensive clearance, Justin Ramirez played a short pass to Jovanny Mejia who blasted a banger into the top right corner of the net.

The Warriors made it 3-0 in the 54th minute. Rinnosuke Nemeto dribbled down the left side of the box and crossed it over to Marvin Gamez who slotted it past the keeper near post.

The Warriors made it 4-0 in the 60th minute.  Justin Ramirez played a long ball to Gamez on the right line.  Gamez beat his defender and crossed it into the box and found Emiliano Amaro for the score.

The Warriors made it 5-0 after a penalty kick goal and De Luna's second of the game.

The Warriors added a sixth goal in the 76th minute.  Isaac Machuca threw the ball into the top of the area of the box.  Diego Martinez was the first to get it and shot it past the Compton keeper.

The Warriors made it 7-0 after a beautiful combination play from the offense that carved through the Compton defense.  Isaac Machuca sent a cross into the box from the right side.  Orlando Valencia Jimenez played a one-two ball with Larry Valle. Valle sent the ball back to a wide open Valencia-Jimenez who scored it past the diving keeper.

The Warriors added their eighth and final goal of the game in the 85th minute.  Off a free kick from the Warrior half, the Warriors sent the ball up to Steven Alvarenga.  He played a ball to Diego Martinez who dribbled down the left side into the endline in the box and found Diego Garcia who shot it into the upper 90 on the right side of the goal.

The Warriors will look to continue their win streak and perfect start to conference play into Friday's matchup.  The Warriors will host LA Harbor on Friday, October 20th.  Kick-off is set for 2:00 p.m.
