Men’s Soccer Blanks Palomar on the Road

ESCONDIDO, Calif. --- El Camino College recorded its third straight win with a 5-0 road victory over Palomar on Friday night at Minkoff Field.

The Warriors (5-1) offense stayed rolling with five more goals from five different players on Friday night. Marvin Gamez opened the scoring in the sixth minute with what would turn out to be his third game-winning goal in six games. His 10 goals and 22 total points now lead the state.

Diego Garcia, Aldahir Rua, Shingo Nakano and Bogart Roca rounded out the scoring for the Warriors while Donovan Palomares recorded four saves in net to notch his third shutout of the season.

The Warriors have now scored 25 goals during their current three-match winning streak and lead the state in scoring with 33 total goals and 5.5 goals a game average.

The team will return to action on Tuesday with another night road game against Glendale. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
