TORRANCE, Calif. - The El Camino College Warriors men's soccer team had a dominant 4-0 display over Santa Monica College on Friday at the ECC Soccer Field in their 2023 home opener.
The Warriors had 4 different goalscorers for the game where El Camino outshot Santa Monica 21-to-8.
The Warriors took an early lead in the 17th minute on a goal by Marvin Gamez.
The Warriors doubled the lead in the 34th minute after a long free kick from Franco De Luna sailed over the Santa Monica goalkeeper into the net to make it a 2-0 game.
The Warriors added a third just goal before halftime after Jovanny Mejia fed Steven Alvarenga for a goal in the 42nd minute.
The Warriors scored the fourth and final goal in the 89th minute after Orlando Valencia-Jim scored from a free kick on top of the box.
Donovan Palomares picked up the clean sheet and made four saves for the game.
The Warriors will head to Norco for their game on Tuesday on the road. Kick-sett is set for 2:00 p.m.
