COMPTON, Calif. - The El Camino College Warriors men's soccer team wrapped up their regular season with a 2-2 draw at Compton on Tuesday afternoon.
The Warriors finish the regular season with a 15-2-1 overall record and a 7-1-1 record in conference play. The Warriors had the second best overall record in the conference but Mt. Sac won the North Division and Cerritos won the South Division.
Alek Palomares scored the first goal in the 25th minute after assists from Lucas Lopes and Mario Carlos to take a 1-0 lead into halftime.
Compton scored two goals early into the second half to take a 2-1 lead over EL Camino.
Haruki Utsumi scored the equalizing goal in the 70th minute after a ball from Mario Carlos.
Bernardo Silva made two saves in net for the Warriors.
The No. 3 seeded Warriors will host the No. 6 seeded Long Beach City College on Friday afternoon. Kick-off is set for 3:30 p.m. If they can defeat the Vikings at home on Friday, they will advance to face Mt. Sac on the road next Tuesday.
