Men’s Soccer Defeats Palomar at Home

TORRANCE, Calif. - The Warriors won their fourth game in a row on Friday afternoon as they defeated Palomar College 2-0 at the ECC Soccer Field.

The Warriors (5-1) were on the attack for almost the entire game.  They out shot the Comets (1-2-3) 22-to-5 for the match with 10 shots on goal to Palomar's 2 shots on goal.

Mario Carlos continued his torrid start to the season after scoring his 5th goal of the season in the 10th minute.

Brian Park played a through ball to Carlos down the left side of the box and Carlos was able to find the far corner of the net for the first goal of the game.

The Warriors added their second goal early in the second half.  Jovaughn Cole played a perfect give-and-go ball with Ty Kerns and Cole was able to score his first goal of the season.

Donovan Palomares made two saves in the game and picked up his fourth clean sheet of the season.  

The Warriors remain at home for their next game as they take on Glendale College next Tuesday.  Kick-off is set for 4 PM as part of a scheduled double-header with the women's soccer team.
