PASADENA, Calif. - The El Camino College men's soccer team defeated Pasadena City College 2-1 on Tuesday afternoon at Robinson stadium.
The Warriors (12-2, 3-2 SCC) scored two goals in the first half in the win over the Lancers (4-11-1, 0-4-1).
Mario Carlos picked up two more goals for the game and has scored four goals in his last two games. Carlos leads the team with 10 goals and 23 points for the season so far.
Carlos opened the scoring in the 24th minute after an assist from Justin Ortega. He added his second goal of the game in the 42nd minute after latching onto a long ball from Brandon Bautista.
Pasadena City scored a consolation goal in the 61st minute after a header from Mario Urbina on a rebounded shot.
Luis Garibay made six saves for the game and his ninth win of the year. The Warriors had 11 shots with six shots on goal. The Lancers had nine shots with seven shots on goal.
The Warriors play their second to last home game against LA Harbor on Friday, October 22nd. Kick-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
