El Camino Falls on the Road at Irvine Valley

IRVINE, Calif. - El Camino College lost 4-0 in an away game at Irvine Valley College on Tuesday afternoon.

El Camino College (1-2-0) gave up two goals in each half as the Irvine Valley College Lasers (1-3-0) picked up their first win of the season.

The Lasers outshot the Warriors 17 to 11 on the day and Brandon Cardenas made six saves for the Warriors.  Nathan King saved seven shots for the Lasers on the day. The Warriors and the Lasers each had 4 corner kicks for the game.  

Benjamin Asabi opened up the scoring for the Lasers in the 25th minute via an assist from Daniel Segal.  Daniel Segal gave the Lasers a 2-0 advantage in the 37th minute via an assist from Gibae Kim.

Eduardo Casillas was issued a red card in the 69th minute in the second half before the Warriors would go on to concede two more goals.   

Grant Joyce scored a goal in the 75th minute to give the Lasers a 3-0 lead.  Benjamin Asabi via Joshue Gallardo picked up his second goal of the game in the dying minutes of the game to complete the 4-0 route for the Lasers.  

Up next for the Warriors is another away fixture on Friday, September 7th at Glendale Community College.  Kick-off is scheduled for 5:00 PM. Last year the Warriors lost 2-1 to Glendale at home.
