TORRANCE, Calif. - El Camino College held out as long as they could before conceding a late goal to Mount San Antonio College and dropping a 1-0 decision.
Alexis Diaz-Paya scored from the top of the box in the eighty-fourth minute with a low shot to the bottom right corner that gave the Mounties the 1-0 lead. The lone goal was enough for Mt. Sac (11-2-2, 3-0-1) to see off El Camino College (5-8-3, 0-3-1).
The first half was an even affair for both squads with Mt. Sac having six shots, and ECC with 5 shots.
The second half however was a different story for both teams as the Mounties had a 12-2 shooting advantage and four corner kicks to the Warriors zero corner kicks.
Cesar Amezcua was credited with six saves on the day.
El Camino College will play again at home on Friday, October 20th in the afternoon at 2:00 PM in another SCC crossover game against East La College.
