Warriors earn hard fought 2-1 victory over Moorpark

TORRANCE, CALIF. - El Camino College kept up their winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Moorpark on Wednesday afternoon at Murdock Stadium.

ECC scored early in the first half off a brilliant play from Jason Santana and Gregory Natt.  Santana dribbled into the box past a Raider defender and did a backheel pass to Natt who slot the ball into the net for his first goal of the season.   

The second half started with end to end action from both teams on the field.  Moorpark would equalize in the 50th minute when Jose Gonzalez scored for the Raiders to make the game even at 1 a piece.

The Warriors would immediately respond a minute later.  Some great combination work from Zachary Franco and Gregory Natt down the left side of the pitch led to Jason Santana receiving the ball inside the box.  Santana turned and quickly fired his shot near the inside post for his team leading 4th goal of the season.  

ECC once again outshot their opponents on the day 14 to 8, and with 7 of them being shots on goal for the Warriors.  

Cesar Amezcua continued his undefeated streak in goal, as he moves to 3-0-1 after Wednesday's contest.  

The Warriors will have the rest of the week off, and will play again Tuesday evening at 5:00 PM at Antelope Valley.
