Men’s Golf Places Eighth at Soboba Springs

SAN JACINTO, Calif. --- El Camino College finished eighth overall at Wednesday's Orange Empire Conference match hosted by Mt. San Jacinto at Soboba Springs Golf Course.
The Warriors finished higher than ninth for the first time this season as the host Eagles failed to record a team score due to two players withdrawing with injuries.
Aden Henry paced the Warriors on a rainy afternoon with an 11-over 83, just four strokes back of finishing in the top 20. Diego Lica shot an 85, his second best mark of the season.
Overall, Hayden Beltran (Mt. San Antonio), Matt Ingram (Orange Coast), and Vincent Quintero (Cypress) shared medalist honors as each player shot a 2-over 74.
In the team standings, Orange Coast recorded the victory as the Pirates shot a collective 23-over 383, five strokes better than second-place Mt. San Antonio (388). Cypress finished third with a 392.
The Warriors will return to action on Wednesday, March 19 at the next OEC match hosted by Orange Coast at Mesa Linda Course at Costa Mesa Country Club.
