Warriors Host First Conference Match of Season
TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College hosted the first Orange Empire Conference, Coastal Division match of the season at Alondra Golf Course in Torrance, Calif.
Freshman Aden Henry posted his best score of the season to lead the Warriors as he shot a 3-over 75 to record his first top-20 finish of the year. He tied for 13th place with five other players and finished six shots off the lead.
College of the Desert claimed the team victory on Wednesday as they recorded a 3-over 363, five shots better than second-place Cypress. Orange Coast and Cuyamaca each recorded a 371 but OCC claimed third thanks to the better score from its sixth golfer.
On the individual side, Dallas Ryan of OCC earned medalist honors, shooting a 3-under 69. Sinjin Armstrong (COD), Taiki Marsh (Cuyamaca) and Vince Quintero (Cypress) all tied for second place with a 2-under 70.
The Warriors will return to action on Monday, March 10 for the second OEC Coastal Division match of the season hosted by Cypress at the Navy Golf Course.
