Yamamoto, Suk Named All Conference and Qualify for Regionals

El Camino College sophomores Bradley Yamamoto and Chan Woo Suk were each named to the Orange Empire All-Conference Team and qualified for the 3C2A Southern California Regionals, it was announced following the OEC Finals on Monday.

Yamamoto and Suk led the Warriors in scoring average during conference play. Yamamoto was the low scorer for the Warriors in every conference event this season and logged the only individual victory for the Warriors at the OEC Neutral Match held at Temecula Creek Golf Club. Yamamoto shot a 3-under 69 to earn co-medalist honors and log his first career sub-70 round in his two-year career at ECC. Overall he logged three of the Warriors' five top-10 finishes during the year. He would finish with a 75.3 scoring average in conference events, the 10th best in the OEC.

Suk also earned OEC All-Conference honors as he logged a 79.0 scoring average during conference play. His best finish also came at Temecula Creek G.C. for the OEC Neutral match where he logged a 3-over 75 to tie for 16th place. It was one of three top-20 finishes for the sophomore during the season.

The duo will compete at the 3C2A SoCal Regionals set to be held on May 5-6 at Rio Bravo Golf Club in Bakersfield, Calif.
