TORRANCE, Calif. --- Freshman Shamar Carter scored logged a 20-point effort but it was for naught as El Camino College fell 71-58 to Irvine Valley in a non-conference game on Wednesday at the ECC Gym Complex.
Carter led the Warriors (4-6) with 20 points on 7-for-16 shooting including four 3-pointers but no other Warriors player recorded double figures.
As a team the Warriors shot just 33.3 percent from the field including a 26.7 percent first half that saw them fall behind by double figures at halftime.
Meanwhile, the Lasers (7-3) shot 50 percent from the field and 19-for-24 from the free-throw line with three players logging double figures. Roman Swizek led all players with 22 points and Jesse Stines recorded a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards. As a team, the Lasers dished out 23 assists on 24 made baskets.
The Warriors will return to action on Dec. 20 as they host Grossmont for the final home game of the calendar year.
