TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College dominated the inside and cruised to a 89-75 non-conference victory over visiting Golden West on Saturday night at the ECC Gym Complex.

The Warriors (4-0) have now won four straight games to start the season, handing the Rustlers (0-4) their fourth straight loss to start the year.

It is ECC's best start to a season since the 2016-17 when the Warriors won their first three games to start the year and six of the first seven of the season. It also marks the first time the Warriors have won four straight to start a year since the 2011-12 campaign when they started the season 6-0.

Sophomore Gabe Hubbard was the star of the night for the Warriors as he dropped a career high 28 points on a blistering 12-of-16 shooting to go along with a team-high 13 rebounds. It was his first 20-point game of the season and second time he's led the team in scoring in a game.

As a team, the Warriors outstanding on offense as they shot 50.6 percent from the field (39-for-77) despite shooting just 1-for-12 from 3-point range. A lot of that had to do with their domination on the inside as the Warriors outscored the Rustlers 62-26 in the paint.

The Warriors also dominated on the glass, outrebounding Golden West 56-31 including a 23-12 edge on the offensive glass, which turned into 25 second-chance points. The transition game also went the Warriors' way as they scored 29 fast-break points compared to just four for the Rustlers.

The Warriors never trailed in the game and led by as much as 20 points. Billy Ray Barnes III added 18 points in 21 minutes off the bench and Mo Cruz recorded a double-double of his own with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Dwayne Moore had 10 points and Austin Balsz led the team with five assists.

The Warriors will look to continue their streak on Wednesday night when they host San Diego Mesa for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
