Warriors Fall at Cerritos College

NORWALK, Calif. - El Camino College dropped an 82-67 road game at Cerritos College on Friday evening.

El Camino College (6-20, 1-7) trailed by only three points at halftime against Cerritos Falcons, but the Falcons (18-8, 7-1) outscored the Warriors by 12 points in the second half enroute to the Falcon's 15-point victory.  

The Warriors shot 42.9% (24-for-56) from the field and the Falcons shot 52.4% (33-for-63) from the field.  The Warriors had one of their best games at the free throw line after shooting 92.3% (12-for-13). 

The big advantage the Falcons had for the game was scoring 44 points inside the paint to the Warriors 28 points.

Jamal Howard once again led the Warriors in scoring after dropping 21 points on 8-for-11 shooting along with six rebounds and two assists.  Chase Pitts had 13 points and Darrian Williams-Youngblood led the second-team unit with 12 points off the bench.

Dorian Harris led the Falcons and all-scorers with 25 points.

At halftime the score was close with the Falcons leading 36-33.  Cerritos then went on a 10-0 scoring run with the score at 42-38 and opened a 14-point lead to make it a 52-38 game with 16:35 left in the second half.  The Falcons hold onto a double-digit lead for the rest of the game.

El Camino College will play their final home game of the season on Wednesday, February 19th against LA Southwest.  The Warriors will honor their six sophomores Jamal Howard, Rashon Crutcher, David Henderson III, Oshiua Alston, Jason Vasquez, and Darius Holmes before the 7:00 PM tip-off.
