Reyes, Chambers Sign with Four-Year Schools

El Camino College men's basketball sophomores Justin Reyes and Justin Chambers will continue their playing careers at the next level after committing to four-year institutions.

Reyes committed to Greenville University, an NCAA Division III program located in Greenville, Ill. Chambers will continue his playing career and education at Holy Names University, an NCAA Division II program in Oakland, Calif.

Reyes capped off his career at ECC this past season and was the team's second leading scorer, averaging 15.3 points per game. He shot 45.5 percent from the field and led the squad with a 43.7 shooting percentage from beyond the arc. Reyes recorded 10 20-point scoring performances on the year, including a season high 27 points against Santa Monica on Dec. 20. In two years at ECC, Reyes played in 53 games, making 28 starts including starting 25 of 28 games in his sophomore season. He averaged 13.4 points per game for his career and shot 41.3 percent from 3-point range.

The Greenville Panthers finished the 2018-19 season with a 17-9 record including a 14-4 mark in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The team averaged 135.1 points per game on the season.

Chambers will head to Holy Names University after wrapping up his career at ECC. The guard led the Warriors in scoring this past season, pouring in 15.8 points per game on 45 percent shooting including 37.5 percent from beyond the arc. He played in 28 games for ECC and recorded double figures in 24 of those games. Chambers logged 10 20-point games during the year. In his two years with the Warriors, Chambers played in 52 games, making 41 starts. He averaged 17.3 points per game on 43.4 percent shooting.

Holy Names went 12-16 overall on the year and 11-11 in the PacWest Conference.
