Men’s Basketball Suffers Rough Loss at Cerritos

El Camino College struggled offensively and it proved costly in a 99-58 South Coast Conference, South Division loss to Cerritos Friday night at The Aviary.

The Warriors could not get anything going Friday against the Falcons as ECC's combined field goals, 3-pointers and free throw made (36) were less than the Falcons' made field goals (39) on the night. The Warriors trailed 58-22 at the half.

Justin Reyes led the team with 14 points but struggled from the field, going 5-for-16 and 4-for-14 from beyond the arc. Sean Goudeau scored 12 points in 28 minutes as a reserve and Jamal Bogan added 11 points in the loss.

The Falcons had four players tally double figures, led by Cody Wilkes and his 20 points in just 18 minutes of action. He went 8-for-11 from the field and hit four of his six 3-point attempts.

The Warriors will return home Wednesday for another conference game as L.A. Southwest travels to the ECC North Gym. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m.
