TORRANCE, Calif. – El Camino College missed a go-ahead shot as time expired and dropped a non-conference game to Mount San Antonio, 63-61, Wednesday night at the ECC North Gym.
Justin Chambers missed a contested 3-pointer with three seconds left and the Warriors (3-12) could not corral the rebound as the buzzer sounded. Chambers finished with a team-high 20 points on 6-for-12 shooting and hit 8-of-11 from the free throw line.
Justin Reyes added 16 points in 19 minutes of action and Jamal Bogan scored 10 points and grabbed three rebounds.
For the Mounties (6-8), Cyree Dunnell led the way with 20 points including the go-ahead layup with 18 seconds left.
The Warriors will return to action Friday night on the road against Chaffey. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
