Warriors Fall to Shasta in Consolation Bracket

VISALIA, Calif. – El Camino College struggled in the second half for the second straight game and fell to Shasta College, 96-82, Saturday afternoon in the consolation bracket of the Kirby Mannon Pepsi/Wyndham Hotel Tournament hosted by College of the Sequoias.

The Warriors (4-9) scored just 23 points in the second half and shot 25 percent from the field in the final 20 minutes. They hit just 2-of-18 attempts from beyond the arc in the second half as they lost a 16-point halftime lead and were held under 100 points in a game for the second straight game and just the third time this season.

Troy Biglow led the Warriors with 15 points on 6-for-10 shooting as he was one of four players in double figures. Isiah Armstead added 14 point and seven rebounds while Justin Chambers scored 13 points and Tristan Egans recorded 11.

Kellen Gerig and Hunter Johnson led the Shasta offense with 29 and 24 points respectively.

The Warriors will take a couple of weeks off before returning to action on Dec. 30 when they return to the ECC North Gym to host West Hills. Tipoff will be at 7 p.m.
