Warriors Lose to MiraCosta

El Camino College dropped its fourth straight game Saturday afternoon with a 135-125 loss to MiraCosta in the consolation bracket of the Gregg Anderson Memorial Tournament hosted by Antelope Valley.

The Warriors had nine players tally double figures including four starters and hit 20-of-45 3-pointers but it was not enough as MiraCosta pulled away late. The game featured 10 ties and 11 lead changes on the night. Both teams led by double digits at one point but it was a one-possession game with just over a minute left before MiraCosta gained separation from the Warriors for the win.

Isiah Armstead led the Warriors with 16 points while Troy Biglow added 14. Tristan Egans scored 13 points with Kenji Sampson, Justin Reyes, and Omosa Ogunsuyi scoring 12 apiece.

The Warriors committed 37 fouls on the day, resulting in 61 free throw attempts for MiraCosta, which converted 46 of them. Meanwhile, the Warriors went 19-for-25 from the charity stripe.

The Warriors will play at home for the first time this season on Wednesday night when they welcome L.A. Pierce to the ECC North Gym. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
