WALNUT, Calif. - The El Camino College Warriors football team lost their National Division Central Conference Opener on Saturday at Mt. Sac 24-7.

In a game that was stopped and started three different times due to lighting delays, the Warriors (3-3, 0-1) could never quite get in a groove against the Mounties.

The Warriors and Mounties traded blows in their first possession of the game as each side scored a touchdown.  Mt. Sac struck first on a 22 yard touchdown pass by Ike Udengwu III.  The Warriors responded on a 9-play, 58 yard drive of their own.  Brian Santana-Fis capped off the drive with a one-yard rush to tie the game at 7-7.

However, the Mounties would go on to score 17 unanswered points en route to the win at home.

The Warriors had 191 yards of offense (94 pass, 97 rush) for the game.  Mt. Sac nearly doubled their total yardage with 368 yards on offense.  Brian Santana-Fis led the offense with 47 rushing yards on 13 attempts and one touchdown.

The defense had five sacks for the game and were led by Lando Brown (8 tackles, 2 sacks) and Aaron House (6 tackles, 2 sacks).

The Warriors will host their rivals Cerritos College on Saturday, October 22nd for the Milk Can rivalry game.  Kick-off is set for 6:00 p.m. at Featherstone Field at Murdock Stadium.
