Brown Named Defensive Player of the Week

SCFA Week 7 Players of the Week 

TORRANCE, Calif. --- Freshman linebacker Lando Brown was named the Southern California Football Alliance Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced late Monday.

Brown had his best game of the season as he tallied 10 total tackles including five for a loss in the Warriors' 30-24 victory over then No. 5 Mount San Antonio. Brown also forced a fumble and tied his career-high with three sacks to anchor the Warriors' defensive effort.

For the season, Brown has recorded 34 tackles and seven sacks with two forced fumbles in six games. He also has 12.5 tackles for a loss through six games.

The Warriors are currently 4-2 and 1-0 in National Central League action. They will take on Cerritos on the road this Saturday at 6 p.m.
