Lindheim named SCFA National Division Central League Coach of the Year as Postseason Awards Announced

TORRANCE, Calif. - Third year Head Coach, Gifford Lindheim was named the SCFA National Division-Central League Coach of the Year as post-season awards were announced.  Lindheim led the Warriors (8-3) to the National Division Central League Title, the team's first since 2008 and first outright title since 2005.  The Warriors also advanced to the CCCAA State Playoffs for the first time since 2011.  

The Warriors had five players earn First Team All-Central Division Honors and four players earn Second Team All-Central Division Honors

First Team

OL-Victor Arteaga.  Arteaga appeared in 7 games as an offensive lineman.  

WR-Trevon Clark -Appeared in all 11 games...Recorded 57 receptions for 986 yards and 10 touchdowns...Averaged 17.3 yards per reception....Longest reception was for 74 yards against Mt. San Antonio (10/20)...Had three games with multiple touchdown receptions in games vs Orange Coast (9/22), San Diego Mesa (10/13), Mt San Antonio (10/20), Had one game with over 200 yards receiving (10/20 vs Mt Sac) and two games with over 100 yards receiving (9/22 vs OCC) and (10/13 vs San Diego Mesa)

DE-Justin Martz. Martez led the Warriors defense in tackles and sacks...Recorded 69 tackles (33 solo, 36 assists)...Recorded 7 sacks for 46 yards...Recorded 15.5 tackles for loss for 68 yards...Forced 3 fumbles

OLB-Angelo Pacheco - Appeared in all 11 games...Was third on the defense with 58 tackles (28 solo, 30 assists)....Recorded 1 sack for 9 yards...Recorded 6.5 tackles for loss for 23 yards...Forced 1 fumble...Recovered 3 fumbles

CB-Isaiah Lemos - Lemos also played in all 11 games for the Warriors in 2018 and had a banner season. Led the state in interceptions with 7...Recorded 28 tackles (21 solo, 7 assists)....Recorded 0.5 tackles for loss...Had 1 fumble recovery...Recorded 5 pass breakups

Second Team

OC-Daniel Pomale-Pomale was the starting center for the offensive line

RB-Raymond Graham.  Graham led the Warriors in rushing with 92 rushes for 390 yards before going down with a season ending injury against Palomar.  He rushed for one touchdown against Mt San Antonio.

DT-Jonah Tavai. Tavai recorded 34 tackles (13 solo, 21 assists)....Recorded 1.5 sacks for 14 yards....Recorded 6 tackles for loss for 23 yards....Also utilized as a running back in goal line situations and rushed 6 times for 12 yards and 3 touchdowns

ILB/P-Quinn Perry Perry appeared in all 11 games...Recorded the second most tackles on defense with 67 (36 solo, 31 assists)....Recorded 5 sacks for 31 yards...Recorded 9.5 tackles for loss...Forced 2 fumbles and had 1 fumble recovery...Recorded 1 interception and returned for 36 yards and a touchdown...Recorded 1 block...Punted 57 times for 2,251 yards...Averaged 39.5 yards per punt...Longest punt was for 55 yards...Had 12 punts inside the opponents 20-yard zone...Forced 10 fair catches
