Brumfield Nabs Player of the Week Honors

El Camino College running back Torrance Brumfield earned the SCFA National Central League Special Teams/All Purpose Player of the Week honors, it was announced Tuesday.

Brumfield had a banner day for the Warriors, leading the team with 108 rushing yards on 14 carries while adding 69 yards on three receptions. He also led the team with three rushing touchdowns.

His 108 rushing yards and three scores were a new season high for the sophomore running back. He had scoring runs of 21, 14 and 19 yards.

On the season, Brumfield has played in all nine games for ECC and has 360 rushing yards on 66 carries to go along with 259 receiving yards on 19 catches.

The Warriors will conclude the 2017 regular season this Saturday night when they face Long Beach City on the road at Veterans Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
