2024 All-SCC Team

TORRANCE, Calif. --- Five El Camino College players were named to the 2024 All South Coast Conference team, it was announced Tuesday.

Aaron Ragat was named to the All-SCC First Team while Jason Davis, AJ Hiestand, Connor Meidroth and Matt Hammond all earned spots on the All-SCC Second Team.

Ragat logged one win and four saves in 23.2 innings pitched during SCC play. He had 30 strikeouts and a 3.80 ERA to earn the All-SCC First Team nod as a reliever. Overall, Ragat appeared in 12 games for the Warriors in 2024 and tossed 26.2 innings. He had 33 strikeouts and posted a 1.31 WHIP.

Davis earned his second straight selection to the All-SCC Second Team after earning a spot as a reliever in 2023. This year, Davis earned his spot as a starting pitcher after making 13 starts and posting a 5-4 record with two complete games. He tossed 86.2 innings and logged 80 strikeouts, averaging 8.3 strikeouts per nine innings pitched. He also posted a 1.30 WHIP. In conference, Davis went 4-1 with a 3.24 ERA.

Hiestand was 2-2 with a 2.84 ERA in conference play. Overall, the sophomore made 13 starts in 14 appearances and had one complete game. He led the team with 87.2 innings pitched during the regular season and struck out 44 batters while opponents hit .268 against him.

Meidroth earned his second straight All-SCC Second Team selection after playing in 35 games during the regular season. He batted .379 with 50 hits including 12 doubles, three triples and five home runs. He recorded 32 RBI and walked 29 times. During conference play, Meidroth batted .377 with one home run and 15 RBI to go along with eight doubles.

Hammond had a solid freshman season with the Warriors and turned it up during conference play. Hammond batted .356 with 20 RBI during SCC action and played in 36 games overall during the regular season. He batted .282 with 35 hits including five doubles and four home runs.
