Baseball Sweeps LA Harbor

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College completed a three-game sweep over L.A. Harbor with a 6-1 South Coast Conference win on Saturday afternoon at Warrior Field.

The Warriors (19-8, 7-5) cruised to the win over the Seahawks (7-19, 4-11) as they scored all six of their runs in the first five innings. The Seahawks managed just five hits and none in the final three frames.

Neil Feist scored the win in relief, going four and 1/3 innings of one-hit baseball. He struck out four batters and retired the final 10 Seahawks he faced in a row.

Elijah Tolsma drew his first start on the mound since Feb. 5 at Bakersfield. He was solid on the mound, allowing just one run in four and 2/3 innings of work. He gave up four hits, walked one and struck out two.

Offensively, the Warriors were led by Daniel Murillo who went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI. Julio Camarena was 2-for-4 with two doubles, Ben Griffin finished 2-for-4 with a double and Dylan Knowles was 1-for-1 with a double, three walks and three runs scored.

Overall, seven of the nine starting position players recorded a hit on the day.

For the Seahawks, Dawson Hokuf and Troy Harding each had two hits and Ian Bonham brought in their lone run with an RBI single in the third inning.

The Warriors will return to action on Tuesday afternoon on the road to begin a critical three-game series against East Los Angeles. Both teams are hovering near the top of the SCC standings with one month left in the regular season.
