El Camino College committed four costly errors in a home loss to East Los Angeles College on Tuesday afternoon at Warrior Field.

Kenneth Haus was charged with his first loss of the season after surrendering five runs (two earned) against the Huskies (21-15, 11-7).  Haus went six innings and gave up five hits, 4 walks, and had six strikeouts for the Warriors (21-15, 10-8). Trevor Talpas threw a stellar three scoreless innings in relief giving up just two walks, zero hits, and throwing six strikeouts.

The Warriors outhit the Huskies 9 to 5 but the Warriors couldn't piece the hits together when they needed too.  Cody Wissler and Jose Ruiz Jr. each recorded multi-hits for the Warriors. Diego Alarcon, Jordan Folgers, Joseph Borges, Jerry Granillo, and Spencer Long each recorded one knock in the game.

The Huskies led the game off with a walk and single before Haus struck out the next two batters.  His second walk of the inning led to bases loaded for the Huskies. Brandon Acosta hit a ground ball to third that got away from Beserra allowing two runs to score and putting the Warriors in an early two run deficit.

The Huskies would add a run in the second and third inning to give them a 4-0 lead.

The Warriors would respond with a run in the bottom half of the third inning.  Borges led the inning off with a single and Granillo walked in the next at-bat.  Alarcon singled to left field to bring in Borges from second and cut the Huskies lead to 4-1.

East Los Angeles added another unearned run in the sixth inning.  Matthew Sosa led the inning off with a chopper to 3B that got away from Beserra and eventually after stealing second base and scoring on a single up the middle.

The Warriors would respond with two more runs in the bottom half of the sixth inning.  Cody Wissler hit a one-out single to right field before Jose Ruiz Jr. doubled to deep left center field off the wall to bring in Wissler from first base.  Borges would walk in the next at-bat before Granillo singled to left field and bring in Ruiz Jr. from second base to make it a 5-3 game.

That would be the closest the Warriors would get in the game as Spencer Long was the only man to reach the bases again in the last three innings after hitting a base hit in the ninth inning.

The Warriors will look to shake off Tuesday's loss when they return to action against East Los Angeles on the road on Thursday.  First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 PM at East Los Angeles College baseball field.
