TORRANCE, Calif. – Through three innings, No. 1 El Camino College and No. 19 Long Beach City combined to score 17 runs. It proved to be the halfway point of the scoring barrage as the Vikings completed a three-game sweep of the Warriors with a 20-14 victory Friday afternoon at Warrior Field.

The Warriors (33-7, 17-5) finished the season on a five-game losing streak while the Vikings (26-13-1, 17-5) surged late to win six straight games to cap the year and catch the Warriors atop the South Coast Conference-South Division standings to earn a share of the title.

In total, four players had four-hit days while five home runs sailed out of Warrior Field, four of them hit by the Vikings. The teams combined to pound out 39 hits, 12 of them for extra bases. There were only six combined scoreless innings in the game, with the ninth inning being the only full frame where no runs were scored.

For the Warriors, Ryan Eastburn went 4-for-5 with four RBI and two runs scored while Trevor Casanova went 3-for-6 with two runs, two RBI and his seventh home run of the season.

Antonio Monroy, Reese Berberet and Vincent Byrd II all had four-hit games for the Vikings with Berberet and Byrd II each hitting two home runs on the day. Berberet drove in seven RBIs while Byrd II drove in six.

The teams will now await to find out where they will play in next week's California Community College Athletic Association playoffs. The pairings will be announced Sunday.
