TORRANCE, Calif. – No. 1 El Camino College hit into four double plays, committed three errors and left 10 runners on base as the Warriors dropped their third straight game, 8-4, to Long Beach City in a South Coast Conference-South Division matchup Tuesday afternoon at Warrior Field.

The Warriors (33-5, 17-3) surrendered three unearned runs on Tuesday and went 4-for-15 with runners in scoring position, hitting into four double plays against the Vikings (24-13-1, 15-5). The Warriors lead the Vikings by two games with two to play in the SCC-South standings.

Brady Dorn went 3-for-5 with two RBI to lead the Warriors offense that tallied 12 hits overall. Cody Wissler also had a multi-hit day, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

But the Vikings led from the jump, scoring twice off Warriors starter Taylor Rashi in the first inning and they never let up. The Warriors got within two runs at 3-1 after three innings but a three-run fourth for the Vikings proved to be the difference as three Vikings pitchers combined to induce four double plays by the Warriors.

The teams will meet again Thursday at Long Beach with first pitch scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
