Dorr and D’Angelo Fall in Round of 16

SARATOGA, Calif. --- Ryan D'Angelo and Bridget Dorr saw their season come to an end on Saturday as they dropped their round of 16 match at the 3C2A Pairs State Championships at West Valley College.

The Warriors' top pair and No. 6 seed from Southern California faced off against a familiar foe on Saturday, taking on Tessa Marocco and Kenzie Dews of Irvine Valley.

It was the third time the two pairs faced off in the last two weeks. D'Angelo and Dorr defeated Dews and Marocco on April 30, 2-0 (25-15, 25-14) in the 3C2A SoCal Team Regionals at ECC but the Lasers' duo returned the favor with a win in three (28-26, 24-26, 15-6) over the ECC top pair at last week's 3C2A Pairs Regionals, also at ECC on May 4.

On Saturday, the IVC duo took the rubber match with a 22-20, 21-15 victory over the Warriors' top duo this season.
