Warriors Sweep the Day and Claim Conference Title at Long Beach

WALNUT, Calif. --- El Camino College claimed its second South Coast Conference title with wins over Mount San Antonio and Long Beach on Friday at the LBCC Sand Courts.

The Warriors trailed both teams in the conference standings entering the day and needed two wins plus a Mounties loss to Long Beach to secure the conference title and that's exactly what happened.

The Warriors upended the Mounties 4-1 and then edged the Vikings 3-2 while the Mounties lost a 4-1 decision to the Vikings to help the Warriors claim their second conference title in three years.

The team will now head to the SCC Conference Championship Pairs Tournament on April 19-20 at Long Beach City College.
