TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College dropped a 3-2 South Coast Conference decision to Mount San Antonio on Friday morning at the ECC Sand Courts.

The Warriors and Mounties came into Friday morning's match tied for second place in the South Coast Conference standings and the match lived up to the billing as the final decision came down to the final three games, all going the full three sets.

After Sophia Ortiz and Erica Griffiths gave ECC a 1-0 lead with a sweep on court two, the Mounties tied it on court three with a sweep of their own.

That left three other courts all going to a deciding third set to declare a winner.

The Mounties took the lead on court four after Sam Parks and Kyra Miller overcame a 10-5 deficit in set three against Adelynn Abrams and Yasmin Watanabe with a 10-1 scoring run to stun the Warriors' No. 4 duo and give Mt. SAC a 2-1 lead.

Court five and court one were both going down to the wire and ended a few minutes apart with Ryan D'Angelo and Bridget Dorr falling to Zyra Green and Andrea Brewer on court one to clinch the match for the Mounties before Crystal Salgado and Alyssa Estrada closed out court five with a 15-8 decision.

The Warriors will return to action on March 29 with College of the Desert and first-place Long Beach coming to the ECC Sand Courts for a pair of conference tilts.
