Warriors Nab Top Honors as All-Conference Team Announced

2022 Beach Volleyball All-SCC Team

TORRANCE, Calif. --- The El Camino College beach volleyball team grabbed the top honors as the 2022 All-South Coast Conference Beach Volleyball Team was announced.

Head coach LeValley Pattison was named the SCC Coach of the Year after leading the program to a 22-5 overall record. The Warriors set a new program record for victories in a season and longest winning streak (22) this season. The team secured its first South Coast Conference title since the formation of the conference in 2018, going undefeated in SCC play. The Warriors also advanced to the CCCAA Team State Championships for the second time in program history.

Along with Pattison, Lauren McCarthy and Fayth Rascon were named the SCC Pairs Team of the Year after an outstanding season. The duo became the second straight pair to capture the conference crown after Phina Leilua and Kylee Glickman took home the title in 2019, the last time the SCC Pairs Championships were contested.

McCarthy and Rascon secured the No. 4 seed from the south and No. 7 overall at the CCCAA Pairs State Championships where they advanced all the way to the round of 16.

Leafa Juarez and Brea Rutledge were also named to the All-Conference First Team. The duo finished third at the SCC Pairs Championships and qualified for the CCCAA SoCal Regionals.

Lastly, the team of Diana Enriquez and Emily Uhrinak were named to the All-Conference Second Team.
