TORRANCE, Calif. --- Yani Camarador continued her torrid scoring and helped keep El Camino College's winning streak moving in a 10-7 South Coast Conference victory over Chaffey on Wednesday at the ECC Aquatics Center.

Camarador led the Warriors (5-7, 3-1) with four goals and three assists on Wednesday and has now scored 21 goals in the last four matches for ECC. Not surprisingly, the Warriors have won all four matches after dropping six of their first seven matches to start the season.

Along with Camarador, Jackie Calhoun had a stellar day with two goals, two assists and a match-high nine steals. Melissa Cedarholm and Polina Paumier also scored twice for the Warriors.

Katrina Sanchez made seven saves including four in the final period to preserve the win for the Warriors.

For the Panthers, Elisabeth Ramirez led the way with six of the team's seven goals. She fired 13 shots to also lead the team and added two steals. Keira Octa made 12 saves in the cage in the loss.

The Warriors got out to a hot start, outscoring the Panthers 5-1 in the first quarter and looked poised to cruise to their fourth straight win. But Ramirez scored three times in the second and the Panthers held ECC to just one goal in the period to make it a 6-4 Warriors lead at the half.

In the third, the teams traded goals to make it 7-5 and then the Warriors scored three unanswered to close the third and open the fourth quarter to take a five-goal lead. It would be enough as Sanchez made four big stops in the period to help the Warriors hang on for the win.

The Warriors will now head to Long Beach on Oct. 18 for their next match looking to extend the winning streak to five games.
