Warriors Men's Soccer Ranked No.2 in the Nation

United Soccer Coaches Top 10 NJCAA DIII National Poll 5

The undefeated El Camino College men's soccer team continued their historic start to the season and are now nationally ranked as the No.2 team in the country in the latest United Soccer Coaches NJCAA DIII's poll. The Warriors moved up a spot from previously being ranked No. 4.

Of the 9 teams ranked, there are three schools from the CCCAA.  The Warriors are the highest ranked CCCAA team at No.2.  Taft College is No.4 and De Anza College is No.9.  No other teams from Southern California made this edition of the polls.

The Warriors are now 10-0 to start the season and 1-0 in conference play.  They have outscored their opponents 29-6 so far to the season.  Andy Cabrera leads the team with 19 points off seven goals and five assists.  Mario Carlos is second with 15 points off 6 goals and three assists.  Brandon Bautista is third with 10 pints on four goals and two assists. Luis Garibay is 8-0 with 18 saves, four clean sheets, and a 0.75 goals allowed average.

The Warriors began South Coast Conference play on Tuesday and defeated Compton College 6-0 at home.  They will host Rio Hondo next on Friday, October 8th.
