GLENDORA, Calif. - The nationally ranked No.4 El Camino College men's soccer team has continued one of their best starts to the season in Warrior history after going 9-0 to start the season before South Coast Conference Play. The Warriors defeated Citrus College 2-0 on the road on Friday afternoon.
The Warriors dominated the run of play and outshot the Owls 12-to-2 with 8 shots on goal vs the Owl's one. Adrian Acosta got the start in goal and made one save for the game.
The Warriors scored a goal in each half. Brian Park scored his first goal of the season in the 32nd minute. Justin Ortega played a ball from midfield to the right side to Andy Cabrera who dribbled to the endline and sent in a cross to Brian Park who one-timed the ball into the net.
The Warriors added their second goal towards the end of the game. Brandon Galindo played a ball from the left side of the field to the opposite side to Andy Cabrera. Cabrera passed to Joshua Aguilera making a run down the right side who crossed the ball to Malcolm Holtzmann-Cisse who headed it into the net to make it a 2-0 game.
The Warriors begin South Coast Conference play next week. They host Compton College on Tuesday, October 5th. Kick-off is set for 2:00 PM.
