Warriors Wallop Seahawks at Home

TORRANCE, Calif. - The El Camino College Warriors baseball team defeated LA Harbor 12-1 at home on Tuesday afternoon at Warrior Field.

The Warriors (17-8, 5-5 SCC) led by 9 runs after three innings in the rout of the Seahawks (7-17, 4-9 SCC). 

Thomas Bainton twirled an efficient 10 strikeouts in six innings of work.  He allowed just one run on three hits. Travis Connelly, Pierce Kingston, and Cameron Sims each pitched a scoreless inning as well. 

Almost every Warrior in the starting lineup had a hit in their 13-hit output.  Theo Forsey led the team with 3 hits, Ethan Felix, Ben Griffin, and Jake Harper each had two hits a piece.

The offense put up three runs in the second inning after loading the bases to start the inning.  Jorge Renteria had a RBI sac fly.  Theo Forshey came around to score on a wild pitch.  Julio Camera had a triple to right center that scored Jonah Storey.

The Warriors blew the game open in the third inning where they put up six runs to make it a 9-0 lead off 4 hits and two errors and by sending 10 men to the dish.

The Warriors would give up one run in the fourth before scoring three in the fifth inning.  

After Jake Harper and Julio Camerena led the inning off with back-to-back hit by pitches.  Dylan Knowles and Ben Griffin had RBI singles and Daniel Murillo had a RBI sac fly in the inning.

The Warriors head to LA Harbor for the second game of the series on Thursday.  First pitch is scheduled for 2:30 pm.
