Beach Volleyball Earns No. 4 Seed, Hosts Irvine Valley and Long Beach in Regionals

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College earned the No. 4 seed in Southern California and will host the 3C2A SoCal Regionals on Tuesday, April 30 at 10 a.m.

The Warriors will welcome No. 5 Long Beach and No. 12 Irvine Valley on Tuesday at the ECC Sand Courts.

The Warriors did not face Irvine Valley during the season but did sweep the season series from Long Beach. They defeated the Vikings 3-2 on March 29 at Palm Desert and then scored another 3-2 win on the final day of the season to clinch a share of the South Coast Conference title with the Vikings.

San Diego Mesa earned the No. 1 seed in the region and will host No. 8 Santa Barbara and No. 9 Grossmont. Ventura is the No. 2 seed and will host No. 7 San Diego Miramar and No. 10 Rio Hondo.

No. 3 MiraCosta rounds out the top four seeds and will host No. 6 Mt. San Antonio and No. 11 Santa Monica.

In addition to the team regionals, ECC will also be hosting the 3C2A Pairs Regionals on Friday and Saturday, May 3-4 at the ECC Sand Courts. It will be the third straight year the Warriors host the event.

The winner of Tuesday's competition and qualifiers from the weekend's pairs contest will all advance to the 3C2A State Championships from May 9-11.
