Bio

Dan Hatano was one of the most successful wrestlers in El Camino College history. Hatano attended Palos Verdes High School before attending ECC. As a member of the Warriors, Hatano won the 1982 and 1983 State Championship in the 142-pound division and was named Most Outstanding wrestler each year.
 
Hatano transferred to Cal State Fullerton where he was named team captain in his short time with the Titans. He would then move on to San Jose State where he competed in Judo. He would become a four-time collegiate national champion, graduating in 1991.
 
Following college, Hatano became a two-time U.S. Judo National Champion. He won the bronze medal for the U.S. at the 1991 Pan American Games was an alternate on the 1992 U.S. Olympic Judo Team.
